Programmes Offered

The Department of Information Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes designed to equip students with strong technical knowledge, practical skills, and research capabilities.

B.Tech in Information Technology

The department offers a four-year B.Tech degree programme in Information Technology.

Admissions are made through the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination, with students selected from among the top-ranked candidates. The programme provides a strong foundation in computing, software development, data management, networking, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Students of the department have consistently secured top ranks in APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Graduates have established successful careers in leading national and multinational companies, while several students have pursued postgraduate studies at Indian Institutes of Technology and reputed international universities.

Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders

Eligible diploma holders can join the B.Tech programme through the lateral-entry admission scheme, subject to the regulations and admission procedures prescribed by the Government of Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

M.Tech in Network Engineering

The M.Tech programme in Network Engineering provides advanced knowledge in computer networks, communication systems, network security, distributed computing, and related technologies. The programme is designed to prepare students for careers in network design, administration, cybersecurity, research, and higher education.

M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

The M.Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science focuses on modern computational techniques and data-driven technologies. The curriculum covers areas such as machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and intelligent systems. The programme prepares students for advanced technical roles, research, and doctoral studies.
